Elecon, in collaboration with Wind Master of Belgium, produces advanced wind turbine gearboxes that meet rigorous requirements. The SDNK 1400 gearbox has a unique design that not only supports the power generator and disc brake but also the wind turbine blades. This is achieved through a hexagonal flanged low-speed shaft. To fulfill this purpose, the gearbox case and adapter are specifically developed using FG 320 material.
The internals of this wind turbine gearbox have undergone carburization, hardening, grinding, and precise profile correction to optimize its performance for applications that require increased speed. The gear teeth and bearings are lubricated through a splash method.
The wind turbine gearbox is securely supported on the Nacelle through robust brackets and operates at a height of 40 meters above the ground. Additionally, the gearbox casing accommodates a hydraulic cylinder shaft for maneuvering the blade angle.
