A Moving services company in Taytay, Rizal has been having problems with Oil Contamination, delay of equipment servicing, shortage of lubricant supply, and high maintenance costs. The plant’s machinery undergoes weekly manual lubrication which requires stop operation. The mishandling of lubricants caused unwanted downtime and high maintenance costs. 

To counter the issues, the plant has been facing, LPI installed lube storage and handling accessories. A military truck was converted into a mobile lube truck for faster and more efficient lubrication. Grease drums and dispensing pump with inline oil filter have also been installed to prevent oil contamination. A dispensing hose was also installed for easy lubrication across the site. Lastly, to strengthen the lubrication program of the plant, the team conducted training and seminar for the plant’s personnel.

After deploying the action plan, the plant was able to have quick and easy access to any onsite equipment. The fresh and clean lubricant has also been secured because of LPI’s Lube Storage and Handling accessories. An accurate amount of lubricant is also being dispensed. Lastly, LPI’s maintenance program reduced the maintenance costs for equipment and eliminated the safety and health risks.

The plant is reported to save up to 60% maintenance cost, and the consumption of lubricant is being monitored properly with a metered reading. The productivity levels have also increased due to the efficiency of the equipment. The plant’s personnel gained enhanced technical productivity and equipment maintenance processes skills to ensure machine performance and safety. All the safety issues were properly addressed by LPI’s maintenance service.
